Strategy Development & Management

SCG personnel established a strategy program for a family of five companies using the “define, align and execute” approach.  This effort drove valuable decision-making and alignment at the executive levels, and provided important tools for both measuring and communicating monthly and annual progress.

Market Intelligence

SCG personnel developed a comprehensive MI approach for a family of five companies on a minimal budget.  This included process, tools, and implementation.  The effort dramatically shortened data gathering and analysis time, which improved both internal and customer-facing decision-making. This effort also improved access to quality information for employees at all levels.

Venture Development

SCG personnel participated in the development of a new business venture, from initial market intelligence and financial modeling, through organizational design, operational analysis and government relations.  This new service was launched ahead of customer expectations, and proved to add significant value to customer operations.

Industry Relations

In the early 1990s, the Intelligent Transportation (ITS) industry was just coalescing.  SCG personnel led key domestic and international activities which brought together thought leaders and standards developers from the automotive, web and telecommunications industries.  Many of today’s leading ITS products and services trace their roots to these early efforts, which laid the groundwork for the evolution of the industry.

Product Management

In the late ‘90s, a content company needed to evolve its offering from physical media to on-line  access.  This additional offering would allow new partners to build many new services using the company’s content.  SCG personnel spearheaded the development of the business case, and partnered with customers, content suppliers, and the software development team to build the product.  Today, this product is the basis for real-time information services which are used nation-wide.
